Easy Bibimbap With Canned Tuna Recipe (Wok With Len)

I recently started to vlog (again), this time with a niche - food and recipe vlog. Here's my 5th upload: Homemade Bibimbap Recipe made with Delmar canned tuna and leftover ulam (ginisang toge and carrots).

Bibimbap is a Korean staple dish that consists rice topped with vegetables, chili paste, and beef or other meat and fried egg. For this recipe, instead of beef or pork, I used Delmar Tuna. Instead of white rice, I used brown rice because it's healthier.

RECIPE FOR BIBIMBAP SAUCE
2 tsp Gochujang
2 tsp Ssamjang (this is optional)
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Honey
Sesame Seeds

Just mix everything together! Adjust measurement according to your taste.

Bought the gochujang at G-Mark, a Korean supermarket in Clark Pampanga, for only 50php. Mura! Sa Puregold they have one being sold at 168php.

For the vegetables, I added bokchoy, cucumber and some toge and carrots. Bibimbap is a versatile dish in which you can practically add any available vegetable you can think of: Bitsuelas, Pechay, Cabbage, Mushroom, Zucchini, Bell Peppers, String Beans etc.

Love this dish! It's easy to prepare, yummy and packed with healthy veggies!

Hope you and your loved ones will enjoy this recipe. Ciao!

Stir Fried Tutong With Bagoong

Stir Fried Tutong Rice with Bagoong. Again, so sorry for the low quality picture.

Ohmaaay!!! I LOLed at the title. Baka lang hindi nyo pa alam haha, tutong is the burnt rice sticking to the bottom of the pot. It's best eaten with kape!!!

There's about 5 cups of left over rice from our lunch today, a huge portion was tutong (maybe about 2 cups) haha, sayang naman kung di kakainin eh ang mahal ng bigas! Php 48 per kilo! What do I do with the tutong? So just like what I normally do, I made another pacham from whatever's left in the fridge...the end product is sinangag (fried rice)

INGREDIENTS:
5 slices of Maling (any luncheon meat), cubed
1 tsp of bagoong
Garlic and onion, chopped
Vegetable oil

For the sauce, mix all these together is a separate bowl:
1 tbsp of soy sauce
2 tbsp water
1 tsp of sugar
Maggi Savor (if you don;t like MSG, you may want to avoid this)

PREPARATION:
Heat oil in the pan then saute generous amount of garlic, onion, add a tsp of bagoong then the luncheon meat Add the rice, including the tutong portion, make sure to break up large clumps of rice
Pour the sauce mixture
Stir fry until the color is even

You don't need any ulam for this. Tastes good already. And believe me, the bagooong will make a huge difference! It adds a lot of flavor. The tutong adds a lot of texture also, ang crunchy! HAHA

I would have added veggies like bean sprouts, green peas and carrots with a bit of chilli pepper kaso wala eh.

Enjoy!

Chicken in Soy Sauce With Sweet Potatoes

Made another PACHAM today. It tastes like ESCABECHE, ADOBO and AFRITADA haha. It looks uninviting (forgive the low quality picture) but in all fairness, I think it tasted good-- sweet, sour and salty.

I like to use CAMOTE (sweet potatoes) as a substitute for potatoes, they're less expensive and compliments nicely with soysauce based dishes.

Chicken in Soy Sauce With Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients:
1 Kilo of chicken breast, sliced
3 large sweet potatoes, cubed
1 Red bell pepper, sliced
1 Onion, sliced
1 can of small RENO Liver Spread

For the sauce:
Combine 1/2 cup of water, soy sauce, vinegar, corn syrup and pepper in a separate bowl

Preparation:
Fry the sweet potatoes until golden brown, set aside
Saute the onion, chicken breast and RENO liver spread altogether
Pour in the sauce
Add the sliced bell pepper
Wait until it boils then add the fried sweet potatoes

Serve hot and enjoy!
